To ST PAUL’S CONGREGATION
Our mission team has been working on a new project this year. And now we have been asked to fill a need in our community by filling 50 backpacks. Why? These packs are for victims of human trafficking in our community.
We have partnered this outreach project with Victim Services of our local CK police. On Sunday Oct 30th, we welcome Kate do Forno from CK Victim Services to enlighten our understanding of human trafficking, and introduce us to their role and our role as volunteers. Over the next month we are asking you, as our congregation, to fill the backpacks. They have contact with the victims and provide these packs when a victim is ready to leave their trafficker, and often have to leave their community.
SO WE NEED:
Hygiene items such as tooth brushes, travel size shampoo & conditioner, soap, deodorant, hairbrush, comb, hair ties. Notebook or Planner & pen.
Gift cards for meals -$10 to $15 for Tim Hortons, McDonalds
Clothing items such as sports bras, underwear, tights/ leggings, T shirts, long sleeve shirts, sweatshirts- pull-over or zip -up, slide-on shoes or flip flops. (Female clothing items will be grouped by size when we fill and label the backpacks.)
LET’S WORK TOGETHER TO FILL THE NEED & FILL THE BACKPACKS!!
If you find value in our work and vision please support us through giving. We believe that God is at work in our community. We are joining in what He is already doing as we look for ways, old and new, to tell everyone just how much God loves them and to invite them on a journey that leads to life. If you want to support us as we do this work you can make a tax-deductible donation right here. It's simple and it's secure.
Every organization like ours is made better by its volunteers. If you have an amazing talent you want to share as part of our community we invite you to contact us so we can talk.
